If our minds are in a place of happiness and love, not only do we give off that energy to the world around us; but your body and health will actually be better.  There are many studies showing how the positive and happy mentality reduces sickness and disease.  So what are some things you could be doing to help improve your mental health? Lets discuss a few options.

1. Affirmations: These are positive statements that aim to boost self-esteem and well-being.  Saying a few affirmations in the morning will start your day out on a positive strong note, giving you better chances for a better day.  They also help change negative thoughts to positive thoughts.

2. Restful sleep: Getting a good nights sleep is so important, our body heals at its most during this time so it is vital we get proper sleep.  On top of the fact that getting a good nights sleep improves your mood.

3. Sunshine:  Sun improves your mood as well, our bodies need vitamin D.  Unfortunately many of us are deficient with this vitamin.  If you can not get sunlight its important to supplement with Vitamin D3, a good quality source like Dr. Mercola's Vit D spray.

4. Earthing/Grounding: This seems to be a new 'fad' or trend.. however it has been around for a very long time and is a great way to spark your natural energies.  Connect with mother nature, get those bare feet on the grass as often as possible.  Studies have shown that this technique improves mood, sleep, fatigue, speeds up healing , reduces inflammation and more.

5. Adjustments: Getting adjusted helps remove interference to your nervous system.  Your nervous system is your master system, it controls EVERYTHING about you.  Including how you, how you respond to stress and so much more.  Studies have shown that mental health improves with chiropractic care.
